The Malayasian Heterometerus spinnifer is possibly the largest species of this genus seen in captivity with a chunky appearance and large claws. Heterometrus are great beginners Scorpions for people who want try something other than an Emperor Scorpion. They can be kept in small groups if enough food is made available and are generally bullet proof.
